The Amazon UK Kindle Storyteller Award literary prize £20,000 prize

Working on Your Next Book or Just Published? You May Win a £20,000 Prize Here

If you are working on your next piece of crime fiction or just published a mystery novel, you may be eligible to win a £20,000 prize. How? The Amazon UK Kindle Storyteller Award is now open for entries. The Kindle Storyteller Award is a new literary prize recognizing newly published work in the English language across any genre and includes a £20,000 prize.

The prize is open to all authors around the world who publish their book through Kindle Direct Publishing on between 20th February and 19th May 2017. Titles must be previously unpublished, a minimum of 5,000 words with no upper word limit and be available as an eBook and in print.

Amazon readers will play a significant role in the competition, with the award shortlist compiled based on customer ratings for the titles, followed by an esteemed panel of judges – made up of both Amazon experts and literary authorities – selecting the Kindle Storyteller 2017 winner.

The prize will be announced at a central London ceremony in July, with the winning author being rewarded with a cash prize of £20,000 and a marketing campaign to support the book on, as well as the opportunity to have their book translated for international sales.

Needless to say, Amazon is also looking to promote its Kindle and Direct publishing platform through this prize. As a result, all entries must be submitted using Kindle Direct Publishing and the submitter should use the exact phrase “StorytellerUK2017” (no need to include the quote marks) in the ‘keywords’ metadata field when the title is enrolled.

Further details about the prize can be found here.
