One way to go to mystery book events is checking out niche bookshops. There are several bookstores in New York which specialize in Mystery and Crime fiction. One of the more reputable ones is Mysterious Bookshop on 58 Warren Street.
The Mysterious Bookshop is an independent bookstore and publisher specializing in mystery fiction, located in New York City. It is one of the oldest mystery bookstores in the world.
In addition to housing its own imprint, the shop contains the offices of both the Mysterious Press, distributed by Grove Atlantic, and an e-book imprint distributed by Open Road Media. The store and its various publishing enterprises are owned and operated by editor and publisher Otto Penzler; its inventory consists of new and rare titles in detective fiction, crime fiction, spy fiction, thrillers, and various other mystery fiction sub-genres. The store also features the largest collection of Sherlock Holmes titles and Sherlockiana in the world, as well as a considerable Bibliomystery collection.
The bookstore organizes book signing events regularly by famous authors and well-known names in mystery genre and this month they have two new events coming up:
– On 12/9 , Charles Martin will be present at the bookstore from 6:30 to 8:00pm. for a signing session for his book: Neon Panic.
– On 12/12, from 7:00 to 8:30pm, Reed Farrel Coleman will promote his book, Hurt Machine.
